Lootboxes Guide
Lootboxes are a form of reward you will get for performing actions in StepApp and
around Step Ecosystem.
Below you can find a breakdown of what to expect from lootboxes and how to
earn them.
Lootboxes Types
Staking Reward Lootbox
Staking Rewards Lootboxes are available to FITFI stakers since when the staking has become available (around May 2022). Staking is perpetual and split into Epochs, where each Epoch lasts 2 weeks. During that time, users earn Drop Tickets (1 Drop Ticket for every 100 FITFI staked) and at the end of the Epoch, snapshot with the Drop Ticket amount earned is made and few days later a lottery is performed that will randomly award users with up to 5 lootboxes per epoch.
Staking lootboxes may contain variety of items, but most anticipated ones are the Sneaks NFTs. Lootboxes from Epochs 1-3 can contain Gensis Sneaks, which are a special, limited (10 000 items) version of Sneaks that can guarantee certain perks in the future. Chest: StepApp Reward Lootbox
After each run with StepApp, besides getting a KCAL reward, there is a chance to earn a Chest. Chest is a good way to increase your KCAL and FITFI daily income: KCAL can be found inside the chests, while you can get FITFI by selling Gems, after upgrading them to level 2 (level 1 Gems cannot be sold).
Each Chest have an associated level to it: the higher the level, the better are the rewards. To get higher level Chests, you need to use Sneaks with more Luck stat and run for longer periods of time.
There
is a limit of having maximum of 4 Chests at a time and opening a Chest costs KCAL
tokens. The higher
the Chest level, the higher is the opening cost.
Additionally, each Chest can be opened after
certain amount of time, which is also related to the Chest level: higher level Chests take more
time to open. You can speed up the opening process by spending FITFI tokens, which will
allow a Chest
to be opened instantly, but at the price.

Chests cannot be sold on the Marketplace.
FAT Reward Lootbox
During the preparation phase of the Step Ecosystem, users could join a referral campaign that awarded all participants with FAT points. FAT points can be claimed and then converted to a special kind of lootboxes.

Fatboxes cannot be sold on the Marketplace.
